We are not a hotel, and we are not a rental listing among thousands. Moana Retreats is a small collection of apartments in the centre of Málaga.
You arrive, you put your keys down, and within minutes the flat stops being new. What's left is the city outside the window.

Málaga moves to its own light. Galleries open onto busy terraces, market stalls give way to long lunches, and evenings start later than you planned. It is a city that makes room for curiosity, and for the kind of travel that leaves time for what matters.
Walk past Roman stone before the city has finished waking. The Mediterranean is still only a few streets away.
Beneath the walls of the Alcazaba, the Roman Theatre sits where it always has; not a stop on a route, but a reminder that this city has been rebuilding on top of itself for longer than most places have existed at all. Ten minutes later, the same walk ends at the sea, as if none of it were unusual.
A capital city, a coastline and an old town that all sit within the same short walk.
Close to Málaga's coast
Málaga’s beaches are not something you have to plan for. From the city centre, the sea is minutes away.
La Malagueta sits at a comfortable walking distance from the centre. Far enough to feel like a destination. Close enough to fit into an afternoon without rearranging your day.
Further along the coast, Pedregalejo and El Palo offer a quieter, more local experience. Fresh seafood, traditional chiringuitos, and a pace that slows down naturally the further east you go.
Staying in the centre means the beach is an option, not a commitment.

The historic centre is compact enough to explore on foot, and rich enough to reward every detour. The Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Picasso Museum, the Carmen Thyssen. A cultural offer that has grown without losing its character.
Beyond the museums, the city has a texture worth discovering. The covered market of Atarazanas. The old quarter at dusk. The neighbourhood of Soho, where independent restaurants and galleries have settled comfortably alongside each other.
Málaga is not a city that exhausts itself in a weekend. It gives you more the longer you look.
